Moving On Over Online Balloon Fight: It’s Time For Some Real Watery Action

Hurling balloons filled with water at other unfortunate souls and getting hit yourself amidst a roar of jingling laughter has a transporting effect of its own. It’s hard to ignore it!

In the passage of mere moments we are able to return to those carefree childhood, when drenching our friends in myriad rainbow colors, seemed to be life’s only ambition. ‘Balloon fight’, was a way of life, not a leisurely avocation. Sitting in our temperature controlled office rooms and playing an online balloon fight game may measure up to those juvenile thrills, but only from a distance.

A good water balloon fight game would require a feisty team of enthusiastic players. No spoilt sport business here! It is a messy game and participants should do well to understand it beforehand.

Besides that, another important prerequisite would be substantial amount of open space. This particular arena should never barge into any of those individual’s private property who are not party to the game. Exercise discretion when selecting the venue. You definitely don’t want a lawsuit slapped against yourself on account of some harmless fun.

Now a water fight game on a sultry summer Sunday along with friends and family is in itself a grand treat; especially so, if there are teenagers running amok and toddlers grinning at every color filled, inflated disc flying past. But if that is too mundane for your taste, you may create your own water balloon fight rules.

Theme fights are a pretty in thing. You may fill up balloons with a single color only while you ask the guests to wear clothing of that shade only. Flag capturing is also an age old tactics.

In this particular maneuver, two teams are formed of equal strength. Each of the teams has their own set of flags.  Now some of the players act like ‘defenders’ while the others become ‘capturers’. The capturer’s carry water balloons with them and try hitting the defenders. If the defenders get hit, they are bound to go off field for a stipulated amount of time. During this time the ‘capturers’ tweak out as many flags as they can. The team with the most number of flags becomes the winner.

Alternatively, you may modify the rules as, whoever stays the least drenched, or whoever gets hit the least number of times at the end of the party becomes the obvious winner. Rules are simply to add a zing to your gathering. So stretch your imagination to the utmost.

However do remember that there is a thin line between being jovial and being rowdy. Do not cross that boundary. True you are having a lot of fun but that should never be the reason of someone else’s discomfort. Be civil when celebrating any occasion. Have fun!
